About five decades ago a single can of milk meandered its way through the by-lanes of Nagpur on a bicycle and then, there was no looking back. Bansi Dairy,
a family business, was established in 1965 with just two buffaloes bought on a loan.
Our aim has been to supply the best quality milk to the customers - home delivered across the city of Nagpur. With consistent collaboration with farmers to ensure freshness and authenticity of the product would not be tampered with.

Bought two buffaloes

Set up the first plant at Bhandara
Distribution of milk in Nagpur increased with the acquisition of more cattle. Collaborated with farmers in the village to increase the scale of production. Delivery of milk was expanded to sweet shops in Nagpur instead of just homes. With a capacity of 70000 ltr milk production per day, the Bhandara plant was set up.
Established the second plant at Gondia
As the collaboration with farmers increased, so did the volume of milk production that led to the establishment of a second plant in Gondia.
Built the head office and a centrally located chilling and dispatch center at Nagpur
Strategic location of the chilling and distribution center in Central Nagpur became one of the vital reasons for the delivery of ‘fresh’ milk to all our partners and customers over the years.
Relationships, developed over several years, with farmers in the proximity of our facilities, and our continuous engagement with them enables us to consistently procure raw milk and at competitive prices.
Milk Collection
at Local Farms
Our farmers are the most vital partners of this journey. With relationships that have been forged over many years our farmers collect milk twice a day which is extremely crucial in retaining the freshness.
Quality Check at the Village Collection Center
At Bansi Dairy, development of our community of farmers is at the foundation of our business. To ensure a fair quality check and pricing process, we have set up- automatic milk collection units (AMC) at the village collection centres. Our quality checks begin right at the 150 milk collection centers in the villages and maintain transparency of cost.
Processing and Chilling
The collected milk is transferred to our centrally located plant that helps us create an efficient supply chain. Milk is processed and chilled at optimal temperatures at the center.
Packaging
Post processing and chilling, the milk is packaged with utmost care that completely eliminates scope of contamination.
Distribution to the Consumers
The final leg of the journey that brings us the most joy! The fresh milk, and other dairy products - ghee, curd, paneer reach our consumers ready for consumption at home. Right from children to the older generation, we are proud that our customers receive premium quality cow milk and a source of nourishment.
